Where do we locate the self

Where do we go when healing becomes ill.

"Where do we locate the self?"
And asking myself the question changed a lot inside of me.
The way how I view caring for myself.

I knew before that the term self care has been used to encourage capitalism and individual blaming but also that it would cut us of from caring for and receiving care from the community.
As now the self is never truly isolated from its sourrundings, these go hand in hand.
This is especially an important understanding that is needed for those actively fighting against the harmful structures. Activist burnout is so common that it almost seems inevitable.

Though I guess by disentangling the self from something individualistic and viewing oneself intertwined with its sourundings it will be much easier to take care of the self.
